Animation Coding in Scratch
Coding Simple Animations with MIT Scratch.
Designed for students new to Coding and ready to take their first step into the creative world of technology and computer programming.
Using MIT's Scratch programming tool, Students will learn the basics of algorithmic thinking and create a simple animation that will come alive in front of their eyes. A small step that will amaze them into the fascinating world of coding and creativity.
Classes held via video conferencing.
Students will need a computer and external mouse (preferred) for Coding classes, and preferably a second screen (tablet) to follow the class.
Students should have scratch.mit.edu open on their browser prior to class (Chromebook, PC, Mac)

Analyzing Poetry
Analyzing Poetry is like a treasure hunt!! Students interpret clues from the poem in order to determine the poet's mindset, intent, emotions, and more. The best part is there are multiple treasures to be found, by each student, driven by their own individual analysis.

Science Escape Room
Students will use their knowledge of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Technology to solve creative challenges to open locks and escape to freedom!! The challenges require imagination, creative thinking, a keen Vulcan sense of perception, along with teamwork. The clues will be colorful yet deceptive, sometimes simple but deep, long and windy yet welcoming. Students will have a blast solving them!!
