Get your child ahead in High School Math before they reach high school. Students can start as early as 6th grade, clear courses in advance, and open the door to college-level work while still in high school.
Get Ahead Before High School
Many schools allow students to take High School Math courses in middle school. Students can also earn Credit by Demonstrated Mastery (CDM) to test out of a high school course and move on to college-level work — sometimes earning college credit while still in high school.
Our High School Math program helps students advance through these courses ahead of schedule. We build a solid understanding of the material first, so that when the time comes, your child can ace the course or the CDM with minimal effort.
Select schools offer Math 1 in 6th grade, with Math 2 and Math 3 following in 7th. A student on that track may start high school in Pre-Calculus. Starting early means being ready for those courses — or testing out of them entirely.
Students can begin as young as 6th grade. Building the foundation in middle school is what lets a student move faster later. Take our free assessment to find out whether this is the right fit.
How We Do It
Take a free assessment
The assessment gauges your child's current knowledge so we can start them at the right point. Students can begin High School Math 1 as early as 6th grade.
Begin the program
Your student meets once a week for a private session, with homework assigned between meetings. The pace is set to their level and to the course they are working toward.
Tackle the course or the CDM
After completing a course, your student is ready for the high school class or the Credit by Demonstrated Mastery exam — and positioned to take college-level courses in high school.

There is no fixed weekly schedule for this program. Sessions are arranged one-on-one around your student's course goal and your family's availability.

Middle school students can begin High School Math courses to get ahead and reach advanced classes such as AP Calculus sooner. We follow the North Carolina High School Math curriculum. All courses are taught as private classes.
Math 1
The entry point into the high school sequence, and the course most students take first — often in 6th or 7th grade.

How many hours will my student need?
One hour a week is the minimum and is enough for most students working through a single course at a steady pace. Students preparing for a CDM exam on a deadline, or moving through Pre-Calculus and Calculus, often add a second hour.
