How we started

How we started

Once upon a time (2013) in a land not so far away (Zip Code 28277), two STEM professionals started a 3rd grade Mathematics Enrichment Club at their kids' school, with the objective of supplementing school work with an enhanced curriculum intended to stretch the thinking of young minds.

Three months later... we decide to call ourselves THINKING FEET.
It symbolizes our primary focus of nurturing creative thinking and problem solving aptitude in young minds. Our curriculum and teaching methodologies are designed to enhance thought leadership in students so that they become better problem solvers of tomorrow.

We believe that nurturing the ability to think creatively and solve problems have multi-faceted benefits in a students' growth journey, no matter what discipline they choose to pursue later in life.

Fast forward 6 months...
The club sweeps top 3 awards in the city-wide all 3rd grader Mathematics competition that year.
Club founders  happy and thinking "Hmmm... this has potential."
Over Kung Pao Chicken and Moo Goo Gai Pan, an idea begins to take shape and a business plan is drafted which gets a reaction of "We can do this... but what do we name it?" Then commences the toughest decision we have had to make thus far - coming up with a name for our efforts.

Sep 2014: Thinking Feet starts with the first set of students covering Computer Programming and Mathematical Problem Solving.
